The Chiringuito Paradise bar opens its doors. The party is meant to be chic, but soon turns into a disaster. The two barmen scramble to make up for it, but nothing can be done... A touching and crazy duo try to save the day in an apocalyptic mix of catastrophic juggling, physical comedy and, of course, fireworks!
Chiringuito Paradise, directed by Christine Rossignol, is inspired by the physical comedy and surprising clumsiness of the most famous clowns of the silver screen (B. Keaton, C. Chaplin, P. Sellers...), but also by the simplicity and depth of a dramaturgy that uses universal characters.
This principle has led Sitting Duck to develop a comedic language that may be close to that of slapstick comedy, but which at the same time meets the demands of a street show. The company approaches slapstick as a series of hilarious micro-situations, inserted into a scenario based on chaos and failure.
Exploits also play an important role in the show. Falls, accidents, juggling and object manipulation add a spectacular touch to the performance. Come and enjoy this free show in the Peristyle!
