Storyline:
A queen: unstable, uncertain, arrogant and with style. She's a pop star dressed in plush. Vulnerable and brilliant. A touching and funny tightrope walker. A singer with thwarted accuracy. A tragedy in neon and confetti.
The character uses wire, 100 costumes, glitter and song to hide herself. Throughout her performance, she swings - literally - between the reflex to protect herself and the desire to show off, which brings out the tragi-comic nature of the character.
Sien Van Acker grew up in Leuven and studied at the Lido circus school in Toulouse. Her main discipline is tightrope walking combined with clowning. She designs her own costumes, which are an important part of her work.
